Runblandford is a FREE to join MEMBERS ONLY group that organises under a CLUB COVID ACTION PLAN which allow us to continue to train during national restrictions under UK Athletics Guidlines. This means that unlike previous years, non members will no longer be able to just turn up and run. Instead, you will first have to register with us by downloading and submitting the membership application form (below) and recieve a Runblandford Membership Number. We will generate a Barcode Membership Card so that you can check in to training sessions.
Membership Aplications recieved by the end of each month will have a card ready for collection at training by the 2nd Monday of the Month, which is also our Monthly Club Social in the Cricket Pavillion on the Recreation Ground.
DUE TO A RECENT INFLUX OF NEW MEMBERS WE KEEP EXCEEDING OUR RUNNER:COACH RATIO AND UNFORTUNATELY HAVE TO PERIODICALLY SUSPENDED THE PROCESSING OF NEW APPLICATIONS. SINCERE APOLOGIES FOR ANY DELAYS****
Recreation Ground Pavillion
Park Road, Blandford Forum
EVERY MONDAY INCLUDING RAINY DAYS AND BANK HOLIDAYS!
The Group meets for its Summer Training session at 6.30pm every Monday night April to September at Blandford Forum Recreation Ground, rain, shine and Bank Holidays!
*You are welcome to join the club at any time of the year, but if you are a complete beginner it would be advisable to start with us as early as possible in the Summer Season as the dark winter training is less suitable.
Members also meet on Thursday evenings througout the Summer Training Season, for various running based activities including Hashing, Orienteering and Off-Road running. These take place at various locations in the Blandford Forum Area, often from a pub, sometimes concluding with a picnic and are primarily designed to be fun, social and sometimes both! Details, instructions and locations are subject to change and are usually given out at training sessions or via our social media pages.
The Group continues throughout the winter every Monday from October to March, however due to the nature of the longer winter training runs under street lights around the town, these sessions are not suitable for “absolute beginner”runners!
We also organise an "Interval" session on Thursday's thoughout the winter season. Details of which can be obtained at Monday night training.
